Farewell of Dennis Schulze from the HOP board

On 1 Jan 2026 Dennis Schulze retired from the Harry Otten Prize Foundation board where he served as treasurer (2020-2025), and with the understanding this has been already his second 6-years term. The finances of the HOF have been solid over the 2020-2025 period and are robust for the future.

Apart from the role of treasurer, Dennis has contributed to the foundation to recruit and select proposals for the Harry Otten Prizes in 2021, 2023, and 2025. The 2021 round was completely online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which asked for extra efforts and inventiveness from the board. The board appreciated Dennis’ critical evaluation and constructive feedback on the submitted proposals. At the same time Dennis kept the helicopter view in the selection procedure. This approach has been quite helpful for our decision making. Thanks a lot for your efforts for the Foundation!
